Sony Tablet S Can be Transformed into a Remote Control for Sony Connected Devices

Sony ,the  Japanese Giant  has decided  to rethink its mobile phone strategy in recent months  and  suddenly   realised that standing  alone as a  Single  mobile phone entity  may  have a  better fighting  chance to survive in the churning mobile phone market.

Sony  finally  took over their joint venture Sony Ericsson on Feb 15  , and renamed its new subsidiary  as Sony Mobile Communications, which  is now wholly owned by Sony  So that  it should have  access  to  Sony’s assets, including its PlayStation game library and vast  library   of movies and TV Shows from its Sony Pictures entertainment  production arm.

 Sony  felt this is an important  move because they  understood  New Media ‘s  consumer  are    always  having  a  Smart  Handheld  device  with them at all times  and  the  platform  that   offers the most exclusive and widest range  of    Digital media content  will justify its Survival  in the New Media era .

 Sony Mobile chief marketing officer, Mr Steve Walker, said: We needed to be a part of something bigger to have a degree of success , and consumer of Sony  must be always satisfied  and  we need to show consumers that   value of buying into a bigger Sony promise not just in phone but in connected devices.

Sony Mobile latest phones are dual-core device,  there are plans for faster quad – core models, but that is not the main drive  and Sony’s dedication to the Android Platform   is unlikely to change also although Sony Mobile is not against adding more to its portfolio.

Said Mr Walker : We are open to alternatives, At the end of the days , it is what the users picks up and what that trajectory is. We don’t see a necessary thing to run to something else , but it is a dynamic world and we don’t know how the market will be three of four years down the line.

 With such  concept , Sony  has been trying  hard  to come out  with    design  which are  exclusively  innovative for the platform  so  that consumers would want to use and  the recent launch of   the  Sony’s  New  Tablet -   S   does  sports  a  outstanding  design  with a totally  different design  compared   to most    conventional tablet  especially   its Unique  wedge design, proving  to  its competitors and Fans   that  its  latest tablet P  is a Complete  drastic overhaul of the tablet concept.

SONY ‘s  Tablet P is a Foldable  device, with a 5.5- inch screen on each half, in the closed position, both screens are safety  position into a nice fit  .The Tablet  S when open to extreme  flat, it  display  a full  a 9.4in screen with 1280 x 800-pixels resolution. The display is crisp, clear and produces excellent colours.

The Tablet S is powered by a dual-core nVidia Tegra 2 1GHz processor and is  able  to  handle demanding graphics applications such as HD videos and games  from  Sony Vault of digital Games content  . The Tablet is able to sustain normal use for up to eight hours or more.  

The Tablet also comes with an 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera.  The rear camera takes pretty good photos  .

 Content can be displayed in two ways, it can be made to first  appear just on  the top screen, with the bottom  portion  working  as the on-screen keyboard , or stretched across both screens. The display itself it split right across , so the bar does not lock anything, think of it as two halves a photo pulled apart . Users   will  need to get used to the gap in the middle.

 For screen games, the bottom screen acts as the on-screen touchpad control , and the top screen act  as the displays.    

Game enthusiasts would welcome to note that the Tablet S runs a whole suite of Sony certified PlayStation games. This means you can load PlayStation games just as you would on the Xperia Play smartphone.

The  Tablet S  also  includes a micro USB port and SD card slot  for user to   easily transfer photos and files via the File Transfer app in the applications menu.

Like other  Smartphone , Sony's choice of preloaded apps are  quite excellent   with the most common provided includes  the  Music Player, Video Player, Gallery, Social Feed Reader, Remote Control and SelectApp.

Sony's  customers  who  has preinstalled  Sony product in their home   will be able to  use a  dedicated app  which is able to transform  the Tablet S  into a Sony  reinstalled Remote Control  which  lets user  to  easily operate  their   Sony ‘s  home electronics  product   (such as a Blu-ray/DVD Player or HDTV) via your Tablet  .An useful Sony  app -  the  SelectApp will be  able to  access  to  Sony's webstore.
